What is an "Area"?
An "area" refers to a specific space within a home that requires cleaning or treatment. In the context of EDM Home Services, areas are categorized into regular areas (such as rooms or stairs) and mini areas (such as hallways, closets, or large landings).
Regular Area (Room or Stairs):
A regular area typically refers to a single room of up to 225 square feet. It can include any standard room within the home, such as bedrooms, living rooms, or dining rooms. It's important to note that living room and dining room combinations count as two areas. Additionally, oversized rooms, large basements, or rec rooms may count as two or more areas depending on their size. For example, if a room is exceptionally large, it may be considered as two separate areas for pricing purposes.
Regular Flight of Stairs:
For stairs, the regular area includes up to 13 steps of regular width, typically measuring up to 36 inches or about 1 meter. However, extra-wide stairs, additional steps, or landings may have an additional charge due to the extra effort and materials required for cleaning.
Mini Area (Hallway, Closet, Large Landing):
Mini areas encompass smaller spaces such as hallways, walk-in closets, or large stair landings. These areas are typically smaller than a regular room but still require cleaning. The pricing for mini areas may vary depending on the specific size and complexity of the space.
Minimum Charge:
At EDM Home Services, we have a minimum charge per service visit to ensure that we can provide excellent service to our customers. The minimum charge can be reached by combining carpet cleaning, furniture cleaning, or area rug cleaning services. It's important to note that the minimum charge does not include materials, energy and waste disposal fees, additional treatments, and GST.
Truck Mounted Cleaning - Minimum $119:
For carpet cleaning using truck-mounted equipment, the minimum charge starts at $119.
Portable Unit Cleaning - Minimum $149:
For carpet cleaning using portable units, the minimum charge starts at $149.
